A bite that's off does quiet damage over time.
When your teeth don't meet evenly, the wear, sensitivity, and jaw strain add up. Here's how we find it and fix it.
Signs of a bad bite
Teeth that look flattened or chipped, sensitivity without a cavity, clicking or sore jaw muscles, headaches, or the feeling that your teeth don't line up. Grinding and clenching often make it worse.
What causes it
Crowded or shifted teeth, missing teeth that let others drift, old dental work that sits high, or habits like clenching. Sometimes it's simply how your jaw and teeth developed.
How we correct occlusion
We start by finding the cause, then match the fix to it: a custom night guard for grinding, clear aligners to move teeth into better alignment, occlusal equilibration to fine-tune how your teeth meet, or restorations to rebuild worn teeth. If your jaw joint is involved, see TMJ treatment.
