How Arestin works
After we clean below the gumline, deep pockets can still harbor bacteria. Arestin is placed into those pockets and slowly releases antibiotic over time, helping the gums heal more completely than cleaning alone.
When we recommend it
Arestin is an add-on for deeper pockets that don't respond to scaling and root planing on their own. We'll recommend it only when it will actually help, not by default.
