Invisalign® Clear Braces in Las Vegas

For correcting mild to moderate issues with teeth alignment, crooked teeth, or bite issues, clear braces by Invisalign® are today’s solution for busy professionals, active teens, and anyone who wants discreet, effective results. Invisalign’s clear aligner trays can correct several issues without you having to commit to months or years of wearing metal brackets and wires that are unattractive, uncomfortable, and prone to damage.

What are Invisalign® Clear Aligners?

The Invisalign system is an orthodontic alternative to traditional “railroad track” braces. It uses a series of custom-designed, clear plastic aligner trays that fit over your teeth to shift them into their desired positions. They fit snugly and are most effective when worn 20-22 hours a day, but are removed for eating, drinking, and caring for your teeth. They are almost invisible when worn and do not interfere with speaking or smiling, so most people are not aware that you are using them to improve your smile.

What Can Clear Braces Correct?

Invisalign clear braces are an excellent solution for most mild to moderate orthodontic problems, including:

  • Crowding: Teeth that are too close together or overlap.
  • Spacing: Gaps between teeth.
  • Rotated teeth: Teeth that are angled or twisted out of position.
  • Overbite: When the upper teeth overlap the lower teeth too far.
  • Underbite: When the lower teeth overlap the upper teeth, so that the lower jaw appears to jut out.
  • Crossbite: When some of the upper teeth fit inside, or “cross over” the lower teeth.

In some cases, these issues may be so severe that they require traditional braces. If this is the case, we will advise you at your initial consultation. Most of our patients who are looking for cosmetic improvement in their smiles achieve excellent results with Invisalign®.

How Does Invisalign® Work?

Dr. Nguyen or Dr. Kim will perform a dental exam, including 3D digital scans. The digital images are used to create your treatment plan and show you a preview of what your teeth will look like at the end of your treatment.

A series of clear braces is created to gently guide your teeth into their proper positions by exerting gradual pressure. Every few weeks, you switch to a new set of aligners that move your teeth a bit more than the last set. If you wear your clear braces 20 to 22 hours daily, the results will quickly be noticeable. You will check in with our office so that we can confirm your progress and ensure there are no issues.

Why Clear Braces are So Popular

Our patients are vocal in their appreciation for Invisalign’s many advantages over traditional braces. Some of the reasons they prefer clear braces include:

  • Appearance: Invisalign clear aligners are clear and discreet. You can wear them anywhere, and very few people will know you have them.
  • Comfort: The smooth plastic and rounded edges do not rub against your lips and gums. Without sharp edges, injuries are less likely, even if you sustain an injury to the mouth.
  • Convenience: It’s so easy to remove your clear braces to eat, drink, brush, and floss.
  • Healthy: Since you can remove your clear braces to brush and floss, you can clean your teeth more thoroughly. Traditional braces tend to harbor bacteria and food debris that are difficult to remove.
  • Fewer Office Visits: Instead of seeing an orthodontist for adjustments every two weeks, you see us every six weeks for a quick checkup.

Invisalign FAQs

How long does it take?

Total treatment time averages 9 – 15 months, and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both will vary from case to case.

What can I eat and drink while in treatment?

Anything you like! Just remove your clear braces before eating or drinking anything other than water. This prevents staining of the trays. After eating, rinse your mouth or, when possible, brush your teeth before reinserting your Invisalign®.

What happens when I complete my Invisalign treatment?

We may recommend a retainer to wear for a prescribed period to prevent your teeth from shifting back to their original positions. Eventually, your teeth will “settle in” to their new positions, and you will no longer need the retainer.

What are Invisalign clear braces made of?

Invisalign aligners are crafted from SmartTrack®, a patented material that is BPA-free, BPS-free, latex-free, and gluten-free. This FDA-approved thermoplastic is designed for comfort and effectiveness.

Does insurance cover Invisalign treatment?

It depends on your insurance carrier and your coverage. Many insurance plans cover part or a percentage of clear braces. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to determine your coverage limits.
